Munro Cobb Building

Part of TDC's Window of Opportunity project that organises colourful shop window displays and hoardings has moved to Cliftonville. Here is the artist Dan Bass and the 140ft work at the old Munro Cobb building on Northdown Road.

  1. Just round the corner from where I used to work. OK, so its colourful, but it needs to be be re-used. Who knows when that will ever happen.

  2. A couple of years ago there seemed to be a flurry of work going on, what happened I was hoping that by now the building would have provided new luxury apartments and improved the area, what happened?

I assume the money must have run out, its a pity that when TDC give permission for planning applications that finance is not part of that decision, it would have saved some that blight around Sea bathing

  3. Who was developing this site? The signs have come off. If I remember rightly it was Jim Ward's Ward and Partners. Why take the signs off the development? Good point, Tony. Why has the development stopped midflow?

  4. Does anyone know what all the aerials on top of the building are for?
